REMEMBER ๐๐ข๐งโ๐ฆ ๐ช๐๐๐:
Luke 17:28-32 KJV “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
[29] but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
[30] Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
[31] In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
[32] Remember Lot’s wife.ย
Jesus issues a powerful one-line warning: โRemember Lotโs wife.โ This is the only individual in the entire Bible whom Jesus specifically tells us to remember. Why? Because her story is a sobering symbol of spiritual compromise.
Lot’s wife was granted a rare privilege: salvation in the midst of destruction.
Yet she tolerated a hidden weakness: love for the world, love for sinful Sodom, love for earthly gain, love for material possessions. And that love cost her everything.
She, overtaken by the fire and brimstone meant for Sodom, became โa pillar of saltโ (Genesis 19:26). Salt in this context symbolizes preservation as a warning, much like how unfaithfulness in the wilderness left behind bones and stories to caution future generations (1 Corinthians 10:5-11).
She became a living statue of what happens when we cling to the past and ignore Godโs call to move forward.
She looked back, She disobeyed divine instruction, She lost her life, and her eternity.
This message is also for us who have begun the journey of salvation. Scripture is clear: this world is under judgment (2 Peter 3:7). No prayer can stop the prophetic timetable. What remains is our call to separate from the world and cling fully to Christ.
Beloved, what in this world do you hold so dearly?
What pleasures, fashions, ambitions, or possessions have entangled your heart at the expense of your soul?
Lay them down, before they lay you low.

Donโt look back, Donโt cling to what is passing, Choose what is eternal.
If you havenโt yet surrendered your life to Jesus, do it today. Confess Him as Lord, repent of your sins, and follow Him wholeheartedly (Romans 10:9-10).
And if youโve already begun turning backโwhether in your heart, behavior, or commitmentโstop now. Return to the narrow path before itโs too late. A time may come when repentance is no longer possible. Jesus is returning soon, and the Church must be ready.
โRemember Lotโs wife.โ Let her story be your warning, not your legacy.
God bless you.
